You don't know this, but we were in the same room once. It was a big room, you were on stage and you were pretty busy. You definitely didn't notice me, but I could see you clear enough from somewhere in the middle. I didn't get a chance to say thank you then so I figured I'd do it now. I feel like you deserve it.

I just wanted to say thank you. It's all I could think to say if I had the pleasure of meeting you. I wish I could have had the chance. Just a simple "thank you" that would never do justice to how much you've given me.
My Sketchbooks Must Lay Flat

It's the one rule I have for sketchbooks of any kind; they must lay flat when open. There is nothing more annoying than sketching and having previous pages constantly flip back on you. Spiral sketchbooks lay flat, but I find them lacking in a few areas: they eventually tear your pages, the spirals bend if stacked, and they find a way of getting snagged when pulling them out of a bag. That leaves me with black-bound sketchbooks which look great, stack or sit on a bookshelf nicely, but they don't lay flat very well.

I'm very pleased to announce that Snow Reports made it into Apple's recent series of iPhone commercials! Snow Reports is the first iPhone app that I designed so it was a huge pat on the back to see that it made the cut.
