I'm very pleased to announce that Snow Reports made it into Apple's recent series of iPhone commercials! Snow Reports is the first iPhone app that I designed so it was a huge pat on the back to see that it made the cut.
I was contacted by Apple in November about using a screenshot of Snow Reports in "upcoming promotional materials" so I assumed the iPhone Your Life site, which was amazing in itself. 2 months went by, me checking the site once a week, and I got another call where I was told that it had been bumped up for their next line of commercials. I got a follow up call from Media Arts Lab, who produced the commercial, with instructions on preparing the app.
It was really great working with everyone at Media Arts Lab, but I must admit I was nervous the entire time. I had this odd fear of making some junior coding mistake in the mock version, or a random email that was never received leading to the use of another app in the spot. Luckily everything went smooth and I got a confirmation email a week later saying that the commercial was approved and set the air that night!
In the end I couldn't be happier, and just want to say thanks to everyone involved!
